U.S. Bank Stadium

U.S. Bank Stadium is a fixed-roof stadium under construction in Minneapolis, Minnesota's Downtown East section on the site of the demolished Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome. Once complete, U.S. Bank Stadium will serve as the home of the National Football League's Minnesota Vikings, who are playing at TCF Bank Stadium on the campus of the University of Minnesota while their new home is being built. The Vikings played at the Metrodome from 1982 until its closure in 2013 and before that at Metropolitan Stadium in Bloomington, Minnesota from 1961 to 1981.
It will be the first fixed roof stadium in the NFL since Ford Field, home of the Detroit Lions, opened in 2002. As of March 2015, the overall budget is estimated to be 1.061 billion, of which 348 million is coming from the state of Minnesota, 150 million from the city of Minneapolis, and 551 million coming from the team and private contributions.〔 U.S. Bank Stadium is scheduled to host Super Bowl LII on February 4, 2018, and the 2019 NCAA Final Four. On June 15, 2015, it was officially announced that U.S. Bank had acquired the naming rights to the stadium.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.vikings.com/news/new-stadium/article-1/US-Bank-Vikings-Introduce-US-Bank-Stadium--Places-To-Play-Program/531e4aa4-e705-4da7-b63a-d395cfcb06e4?campaign=social_20150615_47577276&adbid=610555072053772288&adbpl=tw&adbpr=25545388 )〕 The naming deal is worth $220 million over 25 years.
==Design==

The new stadium is a fixed roof stadium with a translucent roof and movable front windows. The translucent roof and windows allow natural light to enter the stadium, as well as giving fans a view of downtown Minneapolis. To allow for easier snow removal, the roof is slanted to allow snow to accumulate in areas that are more safely and easily accessible. The movable windows will allow the stadium to experience some of the outdoor elements while providing protection from the snow, rain, and the cold winter weather. While the Vikings' owners wanted an outdoor stadium, the state and local governments would only provide funding for an indoor stadium that is able to host major events like the Super Bowl and the Final Four, and a retractable roof would have been too expensive.
The stadium will seat 65,400 people for most games, roughly the same as the Metrodome. However, it will be expandable to 73,000 for special events such as the Super Bowl.
